After all these big citys i wanted to see some culture and jungle :)
So i took a flight to Penang and stayed there for a few days before i went to Cameron Highlands
for some hiking.
My last destination in Malaysia: Taman Negara, with its 130 million years the oldest rainforest in the world.
PENANG
I had a pretty cool Hotel in Penang, the Museum Hotel. It was one of the best inexpensive Hotels i've ever stayed at and it was located very close to the UNESCO world heritage site in george town.
I really liked exploring the streets and searching for all the beautiful artworks.
Once i came across a Batik shop which turned out to be very interesting, especially when you can try it by yourself ;)

CAMERON HIGHLANDS
Did some hiking to those beautiful Tea-plantations and met some crazy people on the way ;)
Could easily have spent a few more days here without getting bored.. but the jungle was waiting for me ;D

TAMAN NEGARA
Met lots of nice people here :)
I walked around in the jungle at night to see some animals that hide during the day.
I wasn't lucky enough to see an elephant or a tiger, but for that i would have needed more days, to get deeper into the jungle.
One day we went fishing with a native, who showed us how the tribe is hunting and how to make fire without a lighter. We went fishing and joined a jam session with some really talented local people, in the background you could here the jungle orchestra consisting of monkeys, crickets and tons of other animals :)
..heading to Bangkok! :)
